About ALDI & Our Culture

Behind every smoothly running ALDI store district is a Store Operations Specialist making sure the administrative and operational details never fall through the cracks — scheduling audits, compliance documentation, new-store opening support, and the data reporting that district and regional leadership rely on to make decisions. Based out of the divisional office rather than a single store, our Store Operations Specialists are the administrative backbone that keeps an entire group of stores running to standard. If you are searching for store operations specialist jobs near me in grocery retail that combine genuine analytical and administrative responsibility with an office-based schedule and a direct line of visibility to regional leadership, this role is the most professionally distinctive support position in our store operations function.

What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"I support a whole group of stores from the divisional office instead of just one location, which means I get visibility into operations data across the district that most store-level employees never see. I audit scheduling compliance, I pull weekly performance reports for the District Managers, and I help coordinate new store openings from a logistics standpoint. It is the most analytically interesting role I have had in retail, and being based in the office instead of a single store changed my whole work-life rhythm for the better." - Current Store Operations Specialist, Naperville, IL.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As an ALDI Store Operations Specialist, you support store performance and compliance across an entire divisional territory from the division office — auditing scheduling and labor compliance data, compiling operational performance reports for district leadership, and coordinating logistics for new store openings and remodels.

• Scheduling & Labor Compliance Auditing: Review weekly store scheduling data against ALDI's labor budget and compliance standards, flagging any store showing a scheduling pattern that risks a labor law or break compliance violation and routing the finding to the appropriate District Manager for correction before it becomes a formal issue.
• District Performance Reporting: Compile weekly and period sales, labor, and shrink performance reports across every store in the division, formatting the data into the standardized dashboard District Managers and the Regional Vice President use for the division's leadership review meetings.
• New Store Opening Coordination: Coordinate the operational logistics checklist for new store openings and major remodels within the division — confirming equipment delivery timing, initial inventory setup scheduling, and new-hire onboarding readiness ahead of each opening date.

Benefits & Perks

ALDI Store Operations Specialists work in a divisional office environment with a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and paid time off. The role provides direct visibility to district and regional leadership, creating a clear pathway into district operations and regional analytics career tracks.
